Kate Miller - Owner & Founder

Kate Miller is a community herbalist, biodynamic herb grower, & Permaculture Design Teacher.  She is formally trained in the field of Permaculture Design & Herbal Medicine, with a focus on Dry-land Farming, Western Herbalism, Mountain Ecology, & Ethical Wildcrafting Practices.  She is a Certified Herbalist from the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism in Boulder and went on to a year-long apprenticeship with an herbalist and holistic healthcare practitioner before starting Alpine Botanicals in 2014. Katy Able - Apothecary Manager

Katy Able has a BA in Environmental Studies from the Evergreen State College in WA, is a certified Herbalist through the Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism and Medicinal Plant Conservationist through the United Plant Savers.  Katy has lived in the Colorado mountains for the past ten years studying and teaching about the local plant populations.  She currently lives near Nederland, CO where she has a garden in the woods, manages Alpine Botanicals, makes botanical products for the apothecary, hosts classes about nutrition and ways to use the plants growing in your bioregion and leads plant ID walks during the summer and fall months.  Katy defines her work as inspiring people to connect with the wisdom of the plants that we are seeing in our lives as a way to mend ourselves and our relationship with the planet.

 

Heather Saba - Assistant Manager

 

Heather Saba is a Certified Clinical Herbalist and Nutritionist, Medical Anthropologist, Writer, Whole-Body Wellness Coach, and Holistic Educator. She sees clients both in-person and through Skype in the Alpine Botanicals clinic room and at her office in Boulder for one-on-one herbal + nutritional wellness sessions, including custom herbal formulations.
