Black Pepper Essential Oil (Indian) - Savitur Botanicals
Distilled from the peppercorns, this essential oil is warming and has traditionally been used in Ayurveda and perfumery to help ease inflammation when used topically.
The aroma of Black Pepper oil is reminiscent of freshly ground peppercorns. However, it does not irritate the eyes or make you sneeze as ground peppercorns can. Black Peppercorn essential oil is also used in blends to help calm addictions for its soothing long-term effects on the nervous system.
Emotionally, Black Pepper essential oil is stimulating and is a wonderful choice to add to blends that enhance alertness and stamina.
How to Use Black Pepper Essential Oil
- To help soothe toothaches: directly apply from a Q-tip that has 1-2 drops of oil on it. Try less first, watching how much the Q-tip is absorbing the oil. Great with Clove oil too (steam distilled only, not Co2)
- Add 1 drop after pulling a Corn chowder soup off the stove, that serves 1-2. Note that you should never cook with essential oils as they will lose their flavor and efficacy.
- Add 1 drop to melted ghee with sprinkled in Himalayan salt and pour over organic popcorn cooked in coconut oil
Safety Considerations for Black Pepper Essential Oil
- Do not use with inflammatory conditions of the digestive organs.
