We live in a very active state and for good reason, peering to the west at the Rocky Mountains it’s easy to understand why so many people are inspired to explore the beautiful landscape. Whether you are an active individual or simply someone who is looking to gain a more holistic perspective on musculoskeletal health, this is the class for you!

This class will be an introduction into how to utilize herbal medicine to support our musculoskeletal system from injury to general wear and tear. Herbs can not only be effective in managing pain but due to their broad-spectrum actions they support our body’s natural ability to heal and recover! A comprehensive understanding of nutrition and its role in prevention of musculoskeletal injury is also key, this class will also discuss how everyday healthy habits can not only prevent injury but can maximize the body’s strength, flexibility, and endurance.

 

About the Instructor:

Courtney Cosgriff is a Certified Clinical Herbalist and Nutritionist trained in the Vitalist Tradition. She holds over 1,900 hours of education and clinical training as an Herbalist and Nutritionist. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Healthcare from Metropolitan State University of Denver and a WFR certification from Herbal Medics University where she learned how to clinically apply herbs in emergency scenarios such as in the wilderness or post disaster areas. In her business Honeybee Herbals, Courtney combines her role as a Clinical Herbalist and Nutritionist with her role as a Gardener and Beekeeper to provide Earth Centered Healing and Education to communities around Colorado. Courtney was born and raised in this beautiful state and her family is from Leadville, Colorado. Courtney grew up exploring the Rocky Mountains as her grandfather was an avid mountain climber, outdoorsman, and conservationist. She is deeply passionate about outdoor education and recreation and the preservation of our wild spaces for generations to come. She believes in the importance of keeping one’s senses open to the experiences offered by the world around us, and that there is no better place to quiet the mind and revitalize the soul than in the wilderness.
